Veterans Honoured

Since 2022, It Takes a Village Community Outreach and Advocacy has honoured veterans through our Veterans Appreciation Certificate initiative. Each November, during Remembrance season, we recognize veterans by sharing personalized appreciation certificates on our Facebook page. In 2024, we expanded this initiative by introducing commemorative Coins of Sacrifice, Bravery, and Honour. These coins were presented to veterans currently living as a tangible symbol of our gratitude and respect.

This initiative creates a space for families, friends, and the wider community to publicly honour those who have served. Certificates can be saved and printed as meaningful keepsakes, preserving their stories for future generations.

Honouring our veterans is an important part of preserving community history. Their service and sacrifices have shaped the lives we live today.

Through this initiative, we ensure their contributions are not forgotten. We honour their legacy, support their families, and remind them that their service continues to matter.
